The STEM Community is buzzing with innovative educators, and we want to tap into that collective wisdom. This summer, we are launching the “STEM Summer Resource Splash” competition, where you can share your most impactful resource for STEM educators. Whether it’s a cutting-edge digital tool, a creative lesson plan, a hands-on activity, practical experiment, or any other resource that has transformed your teaching or learning experience, we want to hear about it!
How to Enter:
- Submit your Resource:
- Link to an Existing Resource: If your resource is available online, share the link.
- Upload a Copy: If the resource is not online but you have permission to share it, attach a copy in your submission by replying to this thread https://community.stem.org.uk/discussion/competition-stem-summer-resource-splash
- Description of Impact:
- Include a brief description (up to 200 words) explaining how this resource has been impactful in your STEM teaching or learning experience. Highlight any specific outcomes or improvements observed.
- Submission Details:
- All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on 20th September.
Selection Criteria:
Entries will be judged based on:
- Innovativeness: How unique and creative is the resource?
- Impact: What measurable impact has the resource had on STEM education?
- Usability: How easy is it for other educators to implement or adapt this resource?
The week beginning 23rd September STEM Community members will be encouraged to vote on their favourite resources prior to final decisions being made by STEM Community HQ.

The winning entry will receive a fabulous prize:
Two Nights for Two in York: Enjoy a relaxing stay in the historic city of York, exploring its rich history, culture, and stunning architecture.
The runner(s) up will receive STEM Community goody bags including STEM Community notepad, mug and more!
The members choice (most likes by STEM Community members) will also receive a STEM Community notepad and mug.

- Each participant can submit only one entry.
- The competition is open to all members of the STEM Community.
