2023 In Reflection from the CEO

Dear Members,

As we approach the end of another eventful year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the remarkable achievements and milestones within the maritime industry and our esteemed institution, The Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

The year 2023 has been a momentous one for the maritime industry, marked by significant developments and challenges. From the pivotal discussions at the IMO, MEPC 80 to the ongoing efforts to enhance sustainability and environmental stewardship, we have witnessed the industry’s commitment to shaping a more responsible and efficient future.

At The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, we have strived to uphold our commitment to excellence and innovation. Our members have continued to drive progress through their expertise and dedication, contributing to the advancement of naval architecture and marine engineering. The insights and accomplishments shared within our community have further solidified our position as leaders in the field.

As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate this festive season, let us not only rejoice in the spirit of the holidays but also acknowledge the resilience and perseverance demonstrated by our industry throughout the year.
