The family/pet-friendly ADV 7, launched this week at the boot expo, represents a collaborative effort between Slovenia and the UK

UK builder Highfield Boats has launched its ADV 7 recreational RIB, a boat developed in collaboration with Slovenian design/engineering houses VOM Creations and Alpha Studio, and with naval architectural input provided by Andrej Justin, chief designer at Justin Yacht Design.

The boat was debuted at the boot Düsselfdorf expo, which runs throughout the week until Sunday 26 January. Measuring 6.98m x  2.68m overall (and with an internal length and beam of 5.19m x 2m), the ADV 7 is arranged to seat up to eight people, “making it perfect for both adventurous outings and family leisure time”, Highfield Boats states. The boat was built with a deep-V hullform with a very fine entry and 22° of transom deadrise, and features stern platforms designed for ease of boarding and reboarding. The ADV 7 is also fitted with a heavy-duty T-top to shield guests from the sun, and the overall boat weight comes to 1.3tonnes, excluding motors.

The arrangement includes two sundecks, a galley, a 270litre-capacity fuel tank and an optional toilet for longer trips offshore. The RIB’s 320mm-diameter tube is intended to act as a bumper during docking, and as a means of deflecting water in rough seas. Highfield Boats reports that the ADV 7 has a maximum output of 250hp (186kW).
