Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI)

Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) is a classification society registered in Indonesia. Its services varies from Classification Services, Strategic Business unit and also acts as counterpart for Indonesia Government in maritime related subject. With headquarters located in Jakarta, BKI have networks spreading throughout Indonesia region and also international coverage.

BKI also has established cooperation with Foreign Classification Societies, both in the form of Mutual Representative and Dual Class. Aside from that, BKI also actively participate in Asian Classification Society (ACS), in which BKI is also one of the founding father of the establishment of the organization. Furthermore, BKI also has a committee to evaluate any technical standard to be implemented for its services, and remain independent from any intervention for its professional judgement

BKI has been conducting the vessel classification based on hull construction, machinery, and electricity installation for vessel and offshore platform / floating facilities. In addition, BKI has been entrusted by several Administrations to conduct surveys and statutory certifications on behalf of the administration acting as Recognized Organization, for such services as Load Line, ISM Code and ISPS Code Certifications and many others.
