Membership as a Member is for those who are ready to have their professional experience recognised as a professional qualification.
The Member (MRINA) designation demonstrates you are professionally qualified and have achieved the highest standard of professional competence and integrity. It shows you have significant experience in the industry and is internationally recognised proof of your technical excellence.
As a Member, we’ll support you with Continuing Professional Development opportunities so you can keep up to date with the latest developments, improve your skills and maintain your status as a highly competent professional. We’ll also help you apply for Professional Registration with the Engineering Council.
Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved with mentoring and outreach, so you can help nurture the next generation of naval architects and maritime engineers.

Naval architects have a responsibility to advance the art and science of ship, boat and yacht design. We are only limited by our imagination.

- Holding a diploma or degree in a subject relevant to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of marine vessels and structures; or
