Vectis Marine Design

Vectis Marine Design was established in 2008 as an independent marine consultancy specialising in the design of military and professional small craft up to around 35m.

We focus on designing vessels for military, coast guard, police, customs, rescue, and other specialist applications for military authorities, government agencies, and professional operators. These craft are built to meet complex and demanding operational requirements, including high-speed performance, extended range, and substantial payload capacities, often within strict weight, dimension, and other constraints.

We provide a full range of naval architecture, engineering, design, and trials services, including structural design in aluminium (with build kits), GRP, and advanced composites. Our in-house Finite Element Analysis (FEA) capability ensures high-quality structural integrity and performance.

All our work complies with Classification Society and other recognised standards, including DNV, BV, LR, MCA, ISO, and SOLAS, as well as military specifications.

We have extensive experience integrating specialist military payloads, including:

• Ballistic protection
• Navigation and communication systems
• Deployment from larger vessels and military aircraft

Beyond engineering and design, we also offer project management, documentation, and tender preparation services.
