Leela Worldwide

Leela Worldwide is a group of companies and a prominent business house in Gujarat, with diverse interests in ship recycling, trading of ships, real estate, hospitality, diamond jewellery, and electronic and print media.

Three out of the four ship recycling yards operated by Leela Worldwide:

• Leela Greenship Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (Yard-35)
• Efcee Global Ship Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (Yard-84D)

have successfully received the European Union Ship Recycling Regulation (EUSRR) certificates, stating that all the facilities comply with European standards as verified by independent verifiers.

Yard-2 and Yard-35 have applied to be included in the EU list of ship recycling yards. These yards have received a Statement of Compliance (SOC) as per the Hong Kong Convention (HKC) from Class NK. Yard-35 has also received an HKC SOC from Lloyd’s Register (LR).

These yards are also certified as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 30000:2009, and ISO 45001:2018 standards by internationally acclaimed classification societies such as LR, the American Bureau of Shipping, and Bureau Veritas.

Recently acquired Leela Responsible Recycling LLP, Yard-1, has received its HKC SOC from the Indian Register of Shipping and is certified as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 30000:2009, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
