Damen Engineering Gdansk

Damen Engineering Gdansk is responsible for transforming the initial design into a complete and practicable engineering package. The experienced engineering department is also involved during the production phase of each ship and provides support as necessary.

Damen Engineering Gdańsk Sp. z o.o. has been operating for over 6 years. Since January 2018, the head office is located in Gdańsk, in the business district – new “Alchemia” building, in which over 150 employees currently work. The last two years have been a very dynamic development of Damen Engineering Gdansk associated with the expansion of the Damen Group into the markets of passenger and car vessels and small cruise ships.

The company is part of the international Damen shipbuilding group, whose head office is located in the Dutch city of Gorinchem and as a specialist competence centre provides services for its needs.
The Polish company is responsible for developing prototype projects of ships built in the largest Damen shipyards.

These include several types of products supplied by the concern, focusing primarily on larger offshore vessels. The DEGd team develops both existing types of Damen ships and creates new ship designs.
The work is carried out within Product Group related teams – supported by deck outfitting, stability, electrical specialists.

Damen Shipyards Group operates 36 shipyards and repair yards and employs more than 12,000 people worldwide. Damen has delivered more than 6,500 vessels in more than 100 countries and delivers some 160 vessels annually to customers worldwide. The shipyard builds a variety of vessels including tugboats, workboats, naval and patrol vessels, high-speed vessels, cargo vessels, dredgers, offshore vessels and ferries.
