Naval Architect – Analysis

As a Naval Architect Analysis, you will be working closely with the client in order to execute their design engineering projects with close co-ordination of your design team.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:
• Liaise with client and /or class for basic design of ships and boats.
• FEM Analysis for local strengthening. – Must Have.
• Carry out stability and related calculations independently.
• Prepare preliminary GA and technical specifications.
• Conceptual & Basic design calculations covering weight, stability, scantling, resistance & powering, propulsion, tonnage, hydrostatics etc.
• Class approval plans.
• Making sure the project is being done according to flag state authorities and class rules (Solas, Lloyd’s, DNV, ABS, IRS);
• Hull surface fairing.
• Knowledge of any Naval Architectural software like Maxsurf, Delfship, Napa is a must.

• Assist Business development team in pre-sales and post-sales support.
• Willing to re-locate on client site either domestic or International on short notice.
• Any other associated task or responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.
• Mechanical and offshore structures background with experience of structural stress analysis and use of FEA packages such as Solidworks/Solidworks simulation, Ansys is desirable.
• Formulate and compose FEA reports from associated analysis that will form part of the design packages.

 

Job Requirements:
▪You are a graduate or masters in Naval Architecture with minimum relevant work experience of 2 years.
▪You have worked on basic design projects in area of shipbuilding & offshore.
▪You have good communication skills and enjoy helping customers.
▪You have minute attention to detail and seek perfection in your work.
