relationships with a wide range of customers that provide a steady and diverse range of tasks for our reputable team of
senior engineers. Demand for our services is consistently strong and forecast to grow in the future. We therefore wish to
invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for this position.
What can we offer you:
As a Senior Naval Architect working at H2NA you will work on tasks ranging from Warship concept designs to pilot boat
stability, and everything in between. We have both Defence and Commercial Clients for whom we carry out a range of tasks.
One week you could be carrying out an Inclining Experiment on a crane barge, the next writing a SIB for a hopper dredger.
Applying your knowledge to such a wide range of vessels and tasks is what makes working at H2NA so interesting and

The position will be based in the Bristol area, although visits to ships will be required.
What skills we expect from you:
Essential
• Chartered Engineer – Ideally for at least 5 years although less may be considered for the right candidate;
• Professional Body – Ideally a Member of RINA although another body or membership class will be considered;
• Recent experience working with naval ship pre-concept or concept design studies;
• Familiarity with naval and commercial vessels;
• Knowledge of naval, Class & Flag regulations;
• Pragmatism when solving technical problems faced by vessel owners (the ability to understand regulatory equivalence);
• Experience at developing design options and presenting complex information in an efficient manner;
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and a Naval Architecture software (i.e. MaxSurf or Paramarine);
• Team player possessing the ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Good presentation skills.
Desirable
• Ability to use Rhino, LR SSC & MaxSurf (training can be provided if necessary);
• Expertise in Structural Design to Lloyds Rules or equivalent.
