Event Information:

A presentation and discussion on some of the challenges and potential solutions that the maritime sector is facing in the transition to net zero. Providing an in-depth overview of the leading fuel contenders and the challenges for both ports and vessels. The doom and gloom is then offset by the potential opportunities that are likely to formulate to ensure the sector can thrive in a net zero future.

 

Speaker:

Dr Thomas Beard is the Clean Maritime lead at BMT and specialises in alternative fuels. He is a chartered engineer, member of both IMechE & IMarEST and has a doctorate in Hydrogen Safety. He is on several industry and academic steering groups / advisory boards. He is a known figure in the industry and prevalent speaker with over 50 engagements in the last few years.
