ICCAS 2026: International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding
Welcome to ICCAS 2026 — where the future of digital shipbuilding and marine innovation takes centre stage. As data-driven technologies transform every facet of the maritime world, ICCAS brings together the global community shaping the next generation of intelligent, efficient, and sustainable ships. From AI-powered design and Digital Twin decision systems to advanced modelling, virtual sensors, cybersecurity, and pioneering autonomous vessel research, this is the event where visionary ideas meet real-world results. Whether you’re a shipowner, operator, technologist, researcher, or industry leader, ICCAS 2026 is your gateway to hands-on insights, collaborative breakthroughs, and the practical applications redefining the ship lifecycle at one of the world’s leading technical conferences for digital ship design and marine engineering.

Topics
Increasing amounts of data are being captured, stored and managed with advanced database systems enabling extremely fast search, and retrieval of data. In the Shipbuilding and Marine industries comprehensive data/information is available and being used across all aspects of the ship lifecycle in areas such as:
- Innovative data capture, management and control, including data management and cybersecurity of communications and information stored on board ships;
- Digital Twin enabled Decision Support/Making Systems;
- Evolving 3D modelling, visualisation, capture and manipulation (such as building the Digital Twin);
- Artificial Intelligence applications, such as machine learning, or aids to decision making in Ship design, build, and operation;
- Use of virtual sensors, and real time input and output systems, to enhance data capture and use;
- Naval Architecture, Design, Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, and Production;
- Management of shipbuilding projects, including planning, work-flow analysis, PDM and ERP applications for management of cooperative working between different actors in’ shipbuilding projects;
- Improved environmental performance to meet evolving IMO and EU requirements, including new decarbonisation equipment and tools, such as wind assisted ship propulsion and weather routing systems;
- Optimisation of ship operation performance and cost effectiveness;
- Design of aerial, submarine and surface unmanned and autonomous vessels;
- Research on advanced state of the art and application of state of the market digital technologies.
ICCAS offers authors the opportunity to present their achievements in use of Computing Technologies, or any other relevant topic not covered in the list above.
An effective abstract should demonstrate that your paper will:
- Provide technically robust insights that advance understanding in a specific area of computer-aided ship design and shipbuilding technology.
- Offer original findings, innovations, or field experiences that have not been previously published.
- Maintain a non-commercial focus, avoiding promotion of specific companies, products, or services.
Once you have written an abstract, you can submit it to the ICCAS 2026 Conference.
5 Reasons Why You Should Submit an Abstract
- To Share Innovative Research and Practical Insights
Present recent advancements in computer-aided ship design and oration to a focused international conference audience. - To Contribute to the Advancement of the Field
Support the development and dissemination of cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies. - To Engage with a Global Network of Experts
Connect with fellow professionals, researchers, and developers to exchange knowledge and ideas. - To Benchmark Methods Against International Standards
Compare and validate proposed approaches with emerging global trends and industry practices. - To Enhance Visibility and Professional Growth
Gain exposure within the maritime community and create new opportunities for collaboration.
When submitting an abstract, do not forget to:
- Mention whether you want your paper to be peer-reviewed or not by ticking the appropriate box. Otherwise, the standard review process will be used.
- Secure company clearance and approvals from the appropriate department(s).
- Authors retain copyright in their submitted abstracts and papers. By submitting their work, authors grant IPC and RINA a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence.
- Remember – No registration, No Paper publication and No podium!

Please submit your abstract by 26 January 2026 here.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
To enable a proper evaluation of your paper proposal, please ensure it provides sufficient detail for reviewers to assess its relevance, quality, and contribution. The suggested word count of 300–400 words should be adequate if the content is focused on the key elements outlined below:
- Objective and Scope:
Clearly define the primary objective of your proposed paper and the specific scope it will cover. For review papers, indicate the depth and breadth of the material you intend to address.
- Approach and Methodology:
Briefly summarise the overall approach, including any methods, procedures, or processes you plan to use or have employed in your work.
- Key Findings and Conclusions:
Outline the main results, observations, and conclusions drawn from your study or analysis.
- Novelty and Contribution:
Explain how your paper provides new insights, original data, or practical value that expands current knowledge or enhances best practices.
Please ensure that all necessary internal or external clearances are obtained before submitting your paper abstract to ICCAS 2026.
Please submit your abstract by 26 January 2026 here.
