Presented by Master Mariner Michael McMahon, this hybrid presentation will cover the history of the RNLI, statistics of that they do and how saving lives at sea is delivered. The RNLI is a modern, high tech organisation which is vertically integrated with its own in house design office, training, boat building and repair facility. The RNLI relies entirely on voluntary donations to cover all operational costs and is world renowned for its performance. The RNLI has over 5000 volunteer lifeboat crew members and 448 lifeboats and hovercraft in 238 lifeboat stations around the coast of the UK and Ireland. This will be an inspiring talk for all associated with the sea and technology.
