Branch Lecture “Enclosed Spaces, How Long Have I Got” Presented by Daniel C Burke (Donal)

“The presentation will be given by Daniel C Burke (Donal), a former Chief Engineering Officer with Irish Shipping Ltd who came ashore and became the Principal of the Nautical Department in the Cork Institute of Technology and driving onwards to become Head of the National Maritime College of Ireland. To say Donal’s studies, research and findings have been a game changer is an understatement. He has received and continues to receive numerous awards and his submission has now been incorporated into the International Maritime Organisations guidance and resolution on enclosed spaces.

The meeting is open to all and any who are interested in this silent killer onboard ships and in enclosed spaces and which until now has never been studied with such industry changing results.
