The talk – Ann’s work as a Port Chaplain has always been close to her heart providing pastoral, emotional and spiritual care to Seafarers and Fishers alike. Ann will enthral us with her journey caring for seafarers and fishers as we celebrate the IMO International Day for Women in Maritime.

The speaker –  Ann started out as a volunteer with Stella Maris in the Port of Teignmouth 2003. She became a Port Chaplain for the Ports of Plymouth and Teignmouth in 2008 until the present day. She is a qualified Nurse and Midwife who is now retired. For 13 years she worked as a full time Senior Lecturer in Exeter Medical School teaching clinical skills to medical students.
