How Student Membership Works

Home Membership Student Membership How Student Membership Works

Student Membership of RINA is the place to start if you’re thinking about a career in naval architecture or maritime engineering. Whether you’re still at school or part way through higher education, you’ll have access to opportunities and resources that will boost your learning and experience right away.

Once you’ve joined a relevant further or higher education programme, you can apply for Student Membership at any time.

In some universities we have Student Representatives – usually an experienced student or staff member – to tell you more about RINA membership and careers in naval architecture.

If you’re still at school, you can apply to become a Junior Member. You’ll have access to the same benefits as Student Members, plus advice on what to study at higher education.

Career Pathway and professional development

Naval architects have a responsibility to advance the art and science of ship, boat and yacht design. We are only limited by our imagination.

What does it cost?

We want to help make life as easy as possible so you can concentrate on your learning, but things can get expensive when you’re studying.

That’s why Student Membership is free.
